Need for Speed: Heat Debut Shows Off Customisation, Tropical Setting

EA has officially revealed the trailer for Need For Speed: Heat today further cementing the franchise’s strong anti-establishment reputation.

The trailer starts with a driver being pulled over by police and a shady law enforcement officer demanding the keys to a pulled over vehicle surrounded by police officers. Heat appears to want the player to feel like a wanted criminal even before playing the game which only cements the anti-establishment, anarchistic and rebellious nature of the franchise.

The setting takes place in a tropical American city and features Latin-American narration as the first narrated words are spoken in Spanish. It has been rumoured that the game could take place in Miami so the trailer could confirm this.
