Ubisoft has released new screenshots for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate for San Diego Comic-Con 2015, via Gamersyde, as well as an animated short for the game.

The person behind the animated short for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game is the “award-winning director of the Universal Pictures biopic Straight Outta Compton” called F. Gary Gray. The illustrator for the short is the LucasFilm-Certified comic book srtist Pop Mhan.

The short introduces the context for the story in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, following the Industrial Revolution in London, in 1868. Bringing about the rise of organized crime, the protagonist Jacob Frye seeks to liberate the working class with the help of his sister Evie Frye and a group by the name of “The Rooks.”

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will release for the Xbox One and PS4 on October 23, 2015. It will release for PC later this year.
