Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2

The latest trailer for the Warhammer 40K-set Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 delves deeply into the three extensive campaigns the title offers to single players.

Across these grand adventures, users will fight on behalf of the Imperials, Tyranids, or Necrons. As might be expected given the different races, each campaign will feature a unique set of mechanics and strategies to master and ships to deploy.

The trailer confirms that the three campaigns are “totally separate, totally new storylines” for the grimdark far-future setting. Furthermore, while the Necron and Imperial campaigns will follow traditional narrative structures, the Tyranid story is told by the victims, which makes it even more distinct from the others.

The campaigns will also be fully playable in co-op for anyone who would prefer to tackle the blight of the universe alongside a friend.

Plenty more details are available in the trailer embedded below.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 (sequel to 2016’s original offering) is a grand RTS game that charges players with conquering star systems to ultimately gain control of the galaxy.

The game is scheduled to launch on January 24, 2019, though a pre-order beta featuring the Imperial and Necron campaigns and the full multiplayer suite will begin on January 15.
