Ahead of its April release (or March if you happen to live in Japan) From Software have released a new trailer for Dark Souls III, named “To the Kingdom of Lothric,” which showcases the opening cinematic for the brutal RPG sequel.

This will be the first next-gen Souls game to release for Xbox One, PC, and Playstation 4 after the successful outing of From Software’s gothic hit Bloodborne and the re-release of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin.

The series is notorious for being rather difficult to complete (to put it mildly), with punishing yet rewarding combat that has earned the previous entries multitudes of awards. Dark Souls III looks to continue that trend but also looks to add some subtle changes to improve the overall enjoyment of the game, including the introduction of “gravestones” to add an extra layer of lore to the series that has arguably been sadly lacking.

You can catch the new trailer below, as well as some gameplay footage released at the end of last year by clicking here.
