The latest trailer for Dirt 4, an off-road racing video game and the twelfth installment in the Colin McRae Rally series, has been released by Codemasters and Deep Silver.
Dirt 4’s new trailer gives viewers a glimpse of some of the fast-paced racing featured in the game. Iconic off-road racing vehicles race around dirt tracks and vie for dominance using a combination of speed, impacting other drivers’ vehicles to throw them off-course, and timing. Dirt 4 is being developed and published by Codemasters and Deep Silver, respectively. The game’s development was done with consultation from Petter Solberg, a two-time FIA World Rallycross Champion. Dirt 4 is scheduled to release on June 6, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Rallycross is a racing sport in which drivers compete on multiple types of surfaces, including dirt and asphalt, among others. Racers must complete anywhere between four and six laps, and one “Joker Lap” that is longer than the traditional laps. The Joker Lap requires tactical wheel-to-wheel racing.
Codemasters is a British video game developer and publisher founded in 1986. The company is one of the oldest British games studios and is headquartered in Southam, Warwickshire. The developer is most known for its racing titles, including Colin McRae Rally 2005 and F1 2016.
