Level-5 has revealed that a new Ni no Kuni title is in development.

In an interview with Nikkei (translated by DualShockers), Level-5 President Akihiro Hino noted that a new game in the Ni no Kuni series is in production. Hino said that he wants to make the series into a bigger franchise and that the movie, which is set to debut on August 23 in Japan, is one of the steps. Hino explained that the next game will release some time after the movie.

Level-5 is also working on a smartphone app for the series, and also preparing for the launch of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered on PC and PlayStation 4, as well as the Nintendo Switch port of the original game, in September 2019. Wrath of the White Witch Remastered was leaked right before E3 and was officially announced during the event.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was released for PC and PlayStation 4 last year. OnlySP’s Damien Lawardorn felt that “the game’s excellence should not be underestimated,” ultimately awarding the title a Distinction (4/5).

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
