The Official European PlayStation blog released an announcement about the new Ratchet & Clank game coming to the PlayStation 4 yesterday.
The game is not exactly a remake, but more of a re-imagining that will tell a new version of the origin story. It will feature updated controls, new planets, flight sequences, and all-new boss fights. Not all of these changes are the result of porting a classic game to a new console, the upcoming Ratchet and Clank film has a lot to do with many of these adjustments, including a change in the game’s primary point of view.
Despite a clear explanation of the Ratchet and Clank European release dates, on the PlayStation blog, there has been some confusion about the North American release date. Today, Insomniac posted a link for North American pre-orders from their official twitter account and further clarified the date through direct responses.
This means that Ratchet and Clank will launch in North America on April 12, 2016, April 15 in France, April 22 in the U.K., and strangely two days earlier, April 20 for the rest of the PAL region. To help ease the wait, Insomniac Games has also released a brand new trailer for the game.
