Next Path of Exile Update Will Make the Game “More Hostile to Early Players”

Path of Exile

New players hoping to get into Path of Exile when the latest league expansion, ‘Legion’, arrives on June 7 may be in for a shock.

In an exclusive interview with OnlySP, Grinding Gear Games co-founder Chris Wilson commented on what the newest updates mean for new players:

“The goal was actually to be more hostile to early players. We’re rebalancing the early monster combat to be harder and more satisfying.”

Wilson went on to specifically mention that the damage dealt by boss enemies has been increased in an attempt to promote a feeling of satisfaction when players dodge their attacks, which is made easier by “better signalling.”

Path of Exile has received many major updates since its initial launch on PC in 2013. Players only have to wait a few more days to find out how the latest update alters the feel of early game combat.

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
