A high-definition remaster of the successful 2D-adventure-horror, Whispering Willows, developed by Nightlight Interactive and published by LOOT Interactive, was released today for the Playstation platform.

Quoting directly from the press release, Whispering Willows

takes players on an adventure as the young and brave Elena Elkhorn who must solve the mystery of her missing father by exploring the haunted Willows mansion. Along the way, Elena gathers clues, meets a cast of unforgettable ghostly characters and uses her magical amulet to take spirit form [(AKA astral projection)] and commune with the souls of the departed. [In this spectral form, she can interact with the benevolent spirits and wicked wraiths that used to dwell within the walls of the sinister Willows Mansion – lost souls, stuck in time and space, who hold the secrets that Elena will need to traverse the terrifying old manor. Players need to make use of Elena’s corporeal and ethereal forms to overcome obstacles, solve the riddles of the mansion’s enigmatic specters, and find Elena’s lost father.]
