After a series of updates and leadership shifts during the company’s first investors meeting of 2018, Nintendo has added to the news storm with an E3 schedule and details about what attendees can expect.
In addition to a live-streamed tournament, Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo Switch will be playable at the expo, and Nintendo’s booth will carry a Smash Brothers aesthetic as well. Recent E3s have seen a Super Mario Odyssey-themed booth, as well as one inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to get fans excited for upcoming releases.
Additionally, this year’s E3 Nintendo Direct will exclusively feature games launching in 2018, with titles set for release in 2019 and beyond displaying at a later date.
Nintendo is gearing up for another big year of games, yet the publisher has thus far remained silent on its upcoming Pokémon Switch entry and Metroid Prime 4.
