Obsidian Fallout: New Vegas

Obsidian ‘Very Doubtful’ it Will Develop Another Fallout Game

Fallout: New Vegas fans need to buckle-up; things are not looking good for another Obsidian-led Fallout project.

Twitter user @Keke_is_life_ asked Obsidian the team’s opinion on the chances of a new Fallout from the RPG studio. Sadly, the answer the developer gave was a bit of a downer:

To add insult to injury, yesterday was New Vegas‘s eight year anniversary.

Though Fallout: New Vegas is an off-shoot from the main series, some fans rank the post-apocalyptic western among modern classics, so today’s Twitter conversation is a bit depressing, even if the news is not much of a surprise.

Word on the street is that Microsoft is currently only a few steps away from acquiring Obsidian as a first party studio. Not only does the rumor make sense for both parties, but it aligns with why there may not be another wasteland from Obsidian.

The future could always change, so be sure to stick with OnlySP on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube for updates on everything single-player.
