Latest Clues to Obsidian’s Secret RPG Point to a Wheel of Time Game

Once again Obsidian has updated it’s site with another number, which is more than likely counting down to an annoucement which may come as early as tomorrow. Today’s quote states the following.

It made you a Watcher. No one asks for that. And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around my neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

Looking into the page source readers also found this line.

There is no sleep for the Watcher.

A logo posted by a user on the Obsidian Forums listed a logo for a Wheel of Time which matches up with the shapes surrounding the numbers.

We will continue to follow this developing story. Many Obsidian followers are piecing together the clues that have been given so far and to them, the most logical answer is a Wheel of Time game as the quotes are all matching up.

AWESOME!!! I just started reading the Wheel of Time series and, aside from being great books, have thought numerous times that they would make great source material for an epic RPG. If this turns out to be true, I am so amped!!! If you're curious about what this game may entail, pick up Eye of the World, the first book in Robert Jordan's series, and give it a read.

None of the quotes I've read sound ANYTHING like The Wheel of Time…

"Your kind must learn it comes from straining against the turning of the world. It spins thus."

At the beginning of the books "The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend."

Plus, the symbol with the Ouroboros matches the ones at the end of each chapter in the books. Getting super amped for this!!!

Well, it doesn't exactly match. And the snake eating it's own tail shows up a lot. It was even referenced in the Big MT from Fallout New Vegas.

But on a different note, the quotes don't necessarily need to reference things directly in the books. This could be from a different era for all we know. Maybe it was before the seals were even made?

This is awesome because Wheel of Time is one of my favorite series. Can't wait for the final book next year.
