Okami was one of those games that sported such an arresting visual style that it arguably didn’t even need an HD makeover. Now that such a makeover is on its way, however, I doubt anyone will complain, especially not those who haven’t yet had a chance to experience this gem.

The video below shows a comparison between the PS2 version and this upcoming HD iteration. The game looks like it will be absolutely stunning on an HDTV, what with all the vibrant colours and fluid animation. It’s been said many times before, but it really does look like a water color painting come to life. The game is also getting trophies as well as Playstation Move support, which I assume will function similarly to how the Wii version did. In other words, this is the definitive version of an already great game.
