Today marks the last day of my time with OnlySP before my hiatus begins. As such, it’s going to be a short one from me.
The week kicked off in fine fashion, with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announcing Middle-Earth: War for Mordor, the sequel to one of the first games to define the latest console generation. The game seems as though it will expand on the original in some very intelligent ways, which should make it one of the best that 2017 has to offer, in my opinion. Elsewhere, Dylan Warman offered his thoughts on Ubisoft’s historical fantasy title, For Honor, and Mitchell Akhurst let everyone know the biggest games to look out for in March. Our output was less than we would have liked, but once again, many of us have been exceedingly busy.
I have one week left in Australia before I head over to the United Kingdom to look for new career opportunities. I’ve already mentioned that I will be taking a break from OnlySP for a little while, and currently anticipate returning to resume my duties in early April. With any luck, I will have the chance to write and post a few articles during this absence, and although it will be stressful in other ways, I want to use this time to recharge. Nothing, I think, is quite as effective at rekindling passion as time away. Although I would not go so far as to say that I’m not still passionate about OnlySP and pushing the website to become more than it has ever been before, but I never anticipated how much of a burden it can be. It is also rewarding, however, to deliver the news, to read your comments, and to help develop the talents of our writers.
For now, though, I hand the reins over to Mitchell Akhurst and Cedric Lansangan, both long-term members of the OnlySP team who, I believe, have the passion, vision, and drive necessary to push OnlySP further.
Until next time, happy gaming everyone.
