Mossmouth have today confirmed that the critically acclaimed Xbox Live Arcade version of their title, Spelunky, will soon be ported to the PC. You will be able to purchase the game via Steam and at launch with a Humble Store release to come shortly after. This news comes after it was announced in March that the title would also be releasing on Sony platforms: PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The developer also announced that Spelunky Classic, the version currently playable on PC, will remain available and, more importantly, free to PC gamers. No release date for the HD port was included in the announcement although the final sentence was “See you this summer!”
