To cult Xbox 360 hits, The Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, may be making their way to Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.

When asked on Twitter about the possibility of a sequel to the 2007 hit RPG Lost Odyssey, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer commented, instead, that their goal at the moment is to push it through for backwards compatibility – along with another popular title, Blue Dragon – before working on a potential follow-up title.

While it’s undoubtedly disappointing for folks who have been waiting eight years for news of a possible sequel, having the game playable on Microsoft’s current-gen console is undoubtedly an excellent consolation prize.

How does this news strike you? Is backwards compatibility good? Or would you rather have a sequel? Sound off in the comments below.
