Sony has finally made the big reveal many Playstation fans have been waiting for. Playstation Now, the Gaikai powered streaming service will be arriving this summer.
Backwards compatibility is no longer a thing required for next-generation consoles. Sony revealed Playstation Now today which will allow PS4 owners to stream and play, PSOne, PS2 and PS3 games across a multitude of platforms. Games can be played on the PS4 of course, but this service will also games to be streamed to your Vita, TV, smartphones and even tablets.
Launch titles will be limited, but Quantic Dream’s, Beyond Two Souls and Naughty Dog’s, The Last of Us will make their debut and are playable at CES. Major details like pricing and a firm release date were not announced, but a closed beta for the service will begin this month, with the full service becoming available this summer.
