Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Revealed for Switch, New Pokémon Showcased

Published

Pokemon Sword

The eighth generation of Pokémon has been revealed as Pokémon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

The new games were revealed today during Nintendo’s Pokémon direct and will launch later this year.

This direct came with a new gameplay trailer and showcased all three of the new starter Pokémon that will accompany players on their journeys. Grookey is the grass Pokémon, Scorbunny is the fire Pokémon, and Sobble will serve as the water Pokémon.

As many may know, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield take place in an all new region—the Galar region—and will launch for Switch. This marks the first time a mainline Pokémon entry has launched on one of Nintendo’s home consoles.

Though the new games were the only ones on display during the Direct, Nintendo did tease more to come for Pokémon coming later this year.

Until Nintendo has more to share, check out the trailer below and keep up with OnlySP on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube.

Digimon Survive’s Stylish Opening Movie Released

Published

 on

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
