Even though some games have already begun using Sony’s new pre-load support on the PS4, it doesn’t look like The Last of Us will be one of those titles.

Digital Distribution Manager Chieh Chen explained in a comment on the Playstation Blog, “Since pre-order for The Last of Us Remastered started before May 20, 2014, this title will not support the pre-load feature.”

Apparently, the button you will see to buy the game will just simply say, “Add to Cart”, rather than the newly introduced “Pre-Order” button you might be seeing on your store now.

It also looks like you can also save $10 on the game at certain retailers for the moment and Target, Amazon and Gamestop are all offering the game for $49.99 rather than $59.99, which is what the listing on the PSN store is currently priced at.
