Released back in October for the Nintendo 3DS, Project X Zone was one of those cool looking games to be released in Japan that would likely never see the light of day here locally.  Well, not so fast my friend.

Being published by Namco Bandai Games, Project X Zone is a role-playing/fighting game that features over 200 characters from a few of gaming’s most prominent publishers.  Sega, Capcom and Namco Bandai have come together to let many of their popular characters exist within this single title.  Franchises range from fighters like Tekken, Street Fighter and Virtual Fighter, to Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Mega Man and even Ghosts’n Goblins.

Aiming for a Summer 2013 release is all the info we have at this point.  But this is definitely a title gamers should be paying attention to closely as the summer months draw near.  Checkout the extended trailer below.

A life long Nintendo fan and lover of all things games, Jeff Scott, couldn't be more excited to be writing for OnlySP. He hopes to blossom from occasional to full time writer at some point. If he doesn't embarrass himself on this site first...
