Psychonauts 2 will have a special panel and demo at this year’s E3 Coliseum.

According to the official E3 Twitter account, Double Fine studio head Tim Schafer will be at the event, as well as popular streamer and celebrity, Jack Black.

Psychonauts 2 is still being published by Starbreeze Studios, even though the company has suffered financially recently. Starbreeze has already sold off publishing rights of three of its properties: Dead by Daylight, 10 Crowns, and System Shock 3. In an interview with GamesIndustry, Schafer spoke about the consequences if Starbreeze decided to drop the publishing rights to the game, saying:

“I mean, it wouldn’t be good…But the game is funded by multiple sources. We had our crowdfunding campaign, Double Fine’s own revenue, and Starbreeze as a publisher. And they’ve continued to be supportive. They’ve been supporting the game and have pledged they’re definitely still capable of publishing it. So we have high hopes for that.”

E3 Coliseum will also host other panels, including one by Netflix, in which they are set to drop new details about its Stranger Things game.

Psychnonauts 2 is set to release sometime in 2019.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Show Unexplored Stories of Secondary Characters

Published

 on

The luminary creator of the Dragon Ball manga, Akira Toriyama, shared new information about the upcoming action RPG, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Via the Bandai Namco Twitter account, Toriyama revealed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will depict the backstories of several secondary protagonists. This means that the game will diverge from the story of the manga and give greater insight into Dragon Ball‘s many supporting characters. While a plethora of games depict the events of the Dragon Ball franchise, only a few of them meaningfully expand upon the story’s events, characters, and world.

Toriyama describes Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot as a “fresh new take on the franchise.” Even though Toriyama rarely contributes to Dragon Ball games, he did create much of the lore in the now-defunct MMO Dragon Ball Online, which heavily influenced the story of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games. While not much information is available about Kakarot and Toriyama’s involvement at this time, the title does have an early 2020 release date and a fishing mechanic.
