4

Sony have today announced the 11th game in the acclaimed Ratchet & Clank series from developer Insomniac Games as part of its 10 year anniversary. Studio CEO Ted Price talked about the steps to take the series back to its roots.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is a fun-sized Ratchet adventure which will be available for download exclusively on the PlayStation Store. We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play. Even better, the addition of online features means you can experience Full Frontal Assault with your friends.

You can download Full Frontal Assault later this year on PSN. For more info, visit the PlayStation Blog. Hopefully this doesn’t take away from a future Resistance project or from the studio’s new IP, Overstrike. Are you pumped for another Ratchet & Clank adventure? Sound off in the comments below!

  1. Hmm, never got into this series. Borrowed the first game on the PS2 from a friend, played thru most of it, but I was more of a Jak and Daxter fanboy myself =p

Maybe I'll give it another look when the HD collection comes out later this year.

    1.  Can't wait to get that HD Collection

  2. Something tells me that this could well be the bonus that US gamers get with their Ratchet and Clank HD Collection because it's coming later. Besides that, Full Frontal Assault (it was QForce when I looked this morning o.O) is getting a retail release in Europe so… makes it more likely.

  3. why did you write "Hopefully this doesn’t take away from a future Resistance project or from the studio’s new IP, Overstrike" in an article with no relevance, and sound off in the comments below is right out of ign.
