Redeemer: Enhanced Edition Looks To Build Over The Original’s Flaws

Redeemer, the third-person brawler released on PC last year, is set to receive a new enhanced edition, which looks to pave over the cracks of the original.

The new edition has “taken into account the community’s input” and added a litany of changes, including two new character classes (Soldier and Monk) and other balancing tweaks. Most importantly, Redeemer will finally be playable on console, with the enhanced edition receiving ports to PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.

The title received lukewarm reviews on release—including OnlySP’s review—but the developer, BUKA Entertainment, is looking to rectify many of the game’s problems in this new re-draft. The original was an intense take on the brawler genre, where players assumed the role of Vasily, an ex-agent turned monk, as he enacts revenge on his previous corporation.
