Resident Evil 2 (1998) voice actor Paul Haddad will revisit the classic survival horror genre in another game set in 1998.

Haddad, the original voice of Leon S. Kennedy, revealed that he has started his mystery role in Daymare: 1998 by Invader Studios, an indie developer based in Italy.

Daymare: 1998‘s Steam page provides more information about the plot of the game:

DAYMARE: 1998 is a third-person survival horror with hardcore survival mechanics and hard to kill enemies. It requires a strategical approach to combat and puzzles and offers a multi-character point of view on the story, revealing a deep and obscure lore.

The scene is set with a secret research facility, a deadly chemical weapon and a special security team to investigate this incident with the potential to become much more than just a security breach. Follow the steps of an elite soldier, a helicopter pilot and a forest ranger, as they play out their roles in an event that transforms one peaceful small town into a deadly zone and its citizens into bloodthirsty monsters.”

Daymare: 1998 is set to release on PC sometime during summer 2019.

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
