Resident Evil 6 coming to PC on March 22

Capcom’s recently released action game (I said ACTION, not horror), Resident Evil 6, is coming to PC on March 22 of next year.

The news comes from a Capcom press release. This PC version be available as a digital download from Steam in North America and as both a digital and boxed release in Europe. I guess European folks buy more boxed PC releases?

In addition to including any free updates and patches that were distributed leading up to its release, the PC version version will be integrated with Steam features such as achievements, cloud saving, and leaderboards.

Below are the system requirements. Capcom recommends using Nvidia Geforce processors.

Minimum specs
·         OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
·         Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 Ghz or better
·         Memory: 2 GB RAM
·         Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
·         Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better
·         DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
·         Sound: Standard audio device
Recommended specs
·         OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
·         Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz or better, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 Ghz or better
·         Memory: 4 GB RAM
·         Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
·         Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better
·         DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
·         Sound: Standard audio device
I already reviewed the game rather unfavorably back in October, but our own Lachlan Williams was interested in playing this PC version when it comes out. Perhaps you can expect a second, more positive review coming from him.
