In an interview with IGN at the 2012 Video Game BAFTAs, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City director Sefton Hill briefly spoke about Rocksteady’s next project.
For us it’s a privilege to work with Batman. It’s always been something amazing for us. It’s great to be in such a position that we can kind of choose what we want to do next. We’ve started work on it, and it’s something pretty exciting. That’s one thing we can definitely say. We’re really excited about it.
Subsequent to the release of the critically-acclaimed Batman: Arkham City, rumors have been flying around suggesting Rocksteady would move on from Batman and make a game under the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license. Those rumors were played down at the 2011 Spike VGAs when the Joker won the award for Best Character and Rocksteady showed off a video, seen below, that tipped their next project to be ‘Batman: Arkham World’.
