Rumor: THQ to offer Metro 2033 for free?

“If only someone would be nice enough to give us a free game…”

More like Metro 20free, am I right? Wait, why aren’t you clapping? And what are you doing with those tomatoes?

Fusible.com has discovered that THQ has recently acquired several WHOIS domain names, all of which hint at the possibility of the 2010 shooter Metro 2033 being handed out for free at some point.

Such a move would likely be made to promote Metro: Last Light, the upcoming sequel. Considering the amount of copies THQ has been giving away recently and the various occasions the game has gone on sale, this doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

If you absolutely can’t wait, Metro 2033 is also bundled with five other games for $10 in Amazon’s Tantalizing THQ Medley. Check it out!

Make sure to stay tuned for more news on Metro 20free as well as its upcoming sequel.
