A long rumoured fan favourite character may be added to the roster of Dragon Ball FighterZ in the near future.

During an Xbox news show in May 2019, there was mention of a so-far unreleased character. In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, the host announced skins for GT Goku and Janemba. GT Goku was the fifth addition to the game’s second Fighterz pass out of a total of six.

This supposed slip up was confirmed on Nintendo UK’s website, however, the post has since been removed. Janemba was listed as having the standard five colour schemes, a lobby avatar, and custom Z stamps. The release of Janemba marks the twelfth, and possibly final, character for Dragon Ball FighterZ, not including the pay to unlock SSGSS forms.

Oh, and while you’re here, re-visit Chris Hepburn’s meditation on the Dragon Ball franchise and FighterZ‘s place in it.
