Funcom, developer of the open world survival game Conan Exiles, has announced that it is working on a single-player game based on the Conan the Barbarian IP.

Funcom revealed the game during its financial report for 2018’s third quarter.

The game is currently in pre-production at Funcom Oslo in Norway. No release date has been announced.

The game is the second in development based on the IP. Petrogylph Games’s real-time strategy Conan game is scheduled to release in the second quarter of 2019 for PC.

Funcom’s Conan Exiles is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. OnlySP’s Damien Lawardorn felt that the game provides players with “endless engagement,” despite the flaws at launch.

His favourite games are those with deep and captivating narratives: while it would take far too long to list them all, some include L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption (and its sequel), Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series.
