EA’s skateboarding series has taken a break from the grinds for six years now since the release of Skate 3 in 2010 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Fans have been clamouring for a sequel ever since, even taking to EA’s Instagram account to bombard every post with pleas for Skate 4. Seriously, take a look – it’s hilarious!

Those fans may have their prayers answered sooner than expected though, as a leading Australian home entertainment website briefly listed Skate 4 for pre-order before it was swiftly taken back down. Here is a snap from a Reddit user who spotted the sale.

Skate 4 rumour

The release date states that the game will arrive in August 2016, with the Xbox One version including a copy of Skate 3 to be accessed through backwards compatibility.

Of course, as per the internet nowadays this could be a joke set up by the Reddit user to fool all those excited Instagram users and thousands of others around the World, so do take this news with a pinch of salt. However the picture does look relatively genuine, so don’t lose all hope just yet.
