Skyblivion: Quest Through Cyrodiil as Never Seen Before

Skyblivion, the fan-made mod of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the Skyrim Creation Engine, is making great progress thanks to generous volunteers.

Although Skyblivion has no release date as yet, the TES Renewal team has said that the creation of the mod has seen significant advancement over the past two months.

TES Renewal has uploaded its first update video of the year, and with plenty of gameplay streaming, Skyblivion still seems as promising as it did two years ago.

Watch the first update video here:

The mammoth mod has taken volunteer developers the better part of four years, and with the most recent updates found on the TESR: Skyblivion facebook, Skyblivion is beginning to look as though the project will be a major hit with fans of The Elder Scrolls series.

According to the official website, users of the mod will be able to select which components they would like installed. Features that players will be able to choose from include armour and weapon overhauls, interior overhauls, and landscape overhauls, ensuring that user experience runs as smoothly as possible.

Similar to Skywind, Skyblivion will be free for players. However, users will require both of the original games, Oblivion and Skyrim, in order for the installer to work.

Following the remaster of Skyrim, fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement for the highly-anticipated The Elder Scrolls VI, although players can expect a long wait as Bethesda works on other projects.

Hopefully, with both Skywind and Skyblivion on the horizons, fans of the series will be kept occupied until the eventual release of the sixth installment.

Troy Baker Discusses His Return as Joel in The Last of Us Part II

Troy Baker has spoken about his return to the role of Joel in Naughty Dog’s upcoming title The Last of Us Part II.

During an exclusive interview with OnlySP at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming, Baker was asked how he felt to return to the role alongside Ashley Johnson, who plays Ellie in the sequel to the acclaimed 2013 title.

“The first day we were on set was when we shot [the PSX reveal] trailer,” Baker revealed. “We go through rehearsals and stuff, and we walk through it, and things get real serious all of a sudden, when we heard both of our voices. When you put everything together, that’s when Ashley goes away and Troy goes away, and you’re left with Ellie and Joel.”

Baker noted that the first time creative director Neil Druckmann spoke to him about the potential of a sequel was during the British Academy Video Game Awards in March 2014.

Druckmann recently revealed that Baker and Johnson had completed their main work on the game, describing it as “the most ambitious cinematic shoot we’ve ever done.” Before that, he stated that the final scene of The Last of Us Part II has been shot, with Laura Bailey recently completing her performance capture for the title. Druckmann also revealed that the rapper Logic and actor Travis Willingham will also be appearing in the game.

Earlier this month, a screen of the game’s weapon upgrade system was leaked in a promotional video, with some noting that weapon variation may be present in the game’s revision of combat.
