Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Will Receive Amiibo for Veteran Fighters

Toys-to-life fans rejoice; Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive a new line of amiibo for veteran fighters.

One of Ultimate’s biggest draws is the return of every character who has ever been playable in a Super Smash Bros. title. While exciting, this news has left many fans wondering if past fighters—such as Solid Snake and Pichu—would be getting unique amiibo figurines.

Thankfully, Nintendo has confirmed on its Japanese website that returning fighters will be receiving amiibo, though no release date seems to have been specified at this time.

Ice Climbers and Pichu are the only fighters specifically referenced in the announcement, but they seem to be listed just as examples of veteran fighters.
