Sony looking to trademark “Destiny of Spirits”

url Sony-logo

Sony have just filed an application to trademark the title “Destiny of Spirits,” indicating that it may be the next project they aim to publish.

The application, which was filed using USPTO on March 26, can be seen here. The name was categorized under “Computer game software; Electronic game software for handheld electronic devices; Video game software” and included the signatures of two Sony Computer Entertainment representatives.

What exactly this game will be about is left to speculation. All signs point to a new IP, though there remains the possibility that it could be some sort of sequel to Beyond: Two Souls, another upcoming Sony exclusive. Whatever the case, the use of the words “destiny” and “spirits” imply fantasy or supernatural elements.

DOOM Eternal Gets Nightmarish Concept Art

Doom Eternal

Bethesda has been pretty quiet about DOOM Eternal the past few months, but the company has reminded onlookers of the project’s stellar design via a piece of concept art.

Entitled ‘Hell Gate’, the concept art details Hell’s equivalent of royalist architecture, complete with DOOM (2016)’s penchant for contrasting colours and strong, angular geometry. The centrepiece of the art is the beloved Doomguy, whose heavy frame looks pretty small compared to the scale.

The art was shared directly on the game’s Twitter page, embedded below:

DOOM Eternal has no release date as of yet, but expect id Software to share more about the game at Bethesda’s E3 conference.
