Soundtrack Spotlight – Axiom Verge (The Axiom)

Published

 on

As promised last week, our Soundtrack Spotlight articles are returning to OnlySP and will be posted on the site every few days featuring a piece of music we think you’ll enjoy.

This week we’re featuring the retrotastic soundtrack from the recently released Axiom Verge. The game has been receiving glowing reviews from just about every outlet possible, and unfortunately we have yet to try it. I did just email the developers to get our hands on a copy though so hopefully that’ll change rather soon!

Below you can listen to “The Axiom” from the official Axiom Verge soundtrack. Let us know what you think of the track in the comments and feel free to suggest songs for us to spotlight for future articles.

Soundtrack Spotlight – Event[0]

Event[0] is an atmospheric, first-person puzzle game that kept me gripped from beginning to end with its amazing story, breathtaking visuals, and ridiculously great music. While I enjoyed my time with the game immensely, what’s really stuck with me, more than the story or the visuals, is the soundtrack.

The music, composed and written by Julie Robert & Camille Giraudeau, is reminiscent of the Electronica scene that grew to prominence during the late 80s and early 90s. While the game has many of these excellent electronic synth pieces, today I’d like to highlight the one piece in the game that stands apart from the rest, in both tone and style.

Trust me, you’ll be humming to the tune for days.

You can listen to the piece down below and make sure to drop down in the comments section to let us know what you think.
