Arrrrrr!!! It’s a grand day to be piratin’ here at Only Single Player!! Today’s soundtrack spotlight be from Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed game. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag be a game about the rough and tough open seas, exploration and plundering!

In all seriousness though Assassin’s Creed IV is an amazing game which, along with a great pirate soundtrack, brought us the feature of Sea Shanties. These are songs that you can collect in a fashion similar to Benjamin Franklin’s almanacs a la Assassin’s Creed III and they allow your crew to sing catchy songs that really add to the immersion of the game’s pirate theme. I can guarantee they will be stuck in your head for days. I know they are stuck in mine!

Be sure to check back soon for our review of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag soon. In the meantime, feel free to have a listen to Randy Dandy via the link below!! Soundtrack Spotlight – Event[0]

Event[0] is an atmospheric, first-person puzzle game that kept me gripped from beginning to end with its amazing story, breathtaking visuals, and ridiculously great music. While I enjoyed my time with the game immensely, what’s really stuck with me, more than the story or the visuals, is the soundtrack.

The music, composed and written by Julie Robert & Camille Giraudeau, is reminiscent of the Electronica scene that grew to prominence during the late 80s and early 90s. While the game has many of these excellent electronic synth pieces, today I’d like to highlight the one piece in the game that stands apart from the rest, in both tone and style.

Trust me, you’ll be humming to the tune for days.

You can listen to the piece down below and make sure to drop down in the comments section to let us know what you think.
