Elan Ruskin, a developer behind Spider-Man, revealed an overlooked Easter egg regarding the game’s inhabitants.
The tweet, embedded below, dealt with how members of the Jewish faith are represented in the game:
This feels like the right time to mention an Easter egg that everyone's passed over so far: these guys don't work on Saturdays! pic.twitter.com/kJydFBG4DG

As stated in Ruskin’s tweet, people of the Jewish faith do not work on Saturdays, which is reflected in Spider-Man‘s overworld. IGN later confirmed that the Jewish community will not spawn in the game on Saturdays, with that being the day of rest for the Sabbath.
Ruskin later confirmed in the Twitter thread that Spider-Man checks the PlayStation 4’s internal clock to see if the day is Saturday and then spawns characters accordingly.
