Splatoon 2 Single-Player Expansion Coming Tomorrow

In a surprise announcement, Splatoon 2 is getting its Octo Expansion tomorrow instead of the forecasted release date of this summer.

After today’s E3 Splatoon 2 tournament winners were handed their trophy, the game’s producer Hisashi Nogami took the stage to announce the release date.

As the crowd was lost in excitement, Nogami took the time to also reveal that Splatoon 2 would see further updates all the way until December. Again, this announcement was quite the surprise as the game was only planned to receive updates for the first year after release.

Additionally, the squid sequel will be receiving three Octo Expansion amiibo.
