If one were to blurt out the words Splinter Cell to you right now, chances are the first thing you’d think of would be the iconic triple-green glow of Sam Fisher’s night vision goggles. Today, Ubisoft released a video for the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist featuring that very headgear.

The one minute video, seen below, shows us a glimpse of Sam using his goggles to see in an incredibly dark area teeming with guards. Realistic details like gradual adjustment have been incorporated, and overall it looks a lot like the night vision players experienced in past series entries. Let us know what you think!

Splinter Cell: Blacklist releases on August 20 (22 AU, 23 EU) for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Stay tuned for more news that you thankfully don’t need NV goggles to see.
