Smash Bros Ultimate, E3 Schedule Super Smash Bros

Not All Stages Returning in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Whilst the full character roster will be returning in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, only a majority of the series stages will return.

According to Famitsu‘s write-up of an E3 press-only Ultimate live demo/Q&A with Nintendo Treehouse’s Nate Bihldorff and Bill Trinen, the presenters confirmed that “not all past stages are going to be in the game, but a whole lot of them will.” Contrary to the full transfer of every character in the series, the stages apparently will not be given the same treatment.

Furthermore, the article confirmed that series creator Mashahiro Sakurai will be handling the game’s balancing, with no indication of whether the game will follow Melee or Brawl‘s competitive blueprint.

Of course, whenever Japanese is translated into English, some essential information may be lost in translation. Sakurai has confirmed none of the above, either. Thanks to Source Gaming for compiling and translating the original article from Famitsu.
