EA’s Open-World Star Wars Game Will Have “Single-Player Experience”

EA’s AAA open-world Star Wars project seems to have been confirmed to carry some sort of a single-player narrative.

Based on job listings earlier this year, the project seems to be a fundamentally reworked version of the title that Visceral Games was working on before its closure last year, with development being led by the so-far untried Motive Studios. Those earlier postings called for a Lead Online Engineer, while the newer listing has given solo-playing fans something more intimate to look forward to.

“Work with the Creative Director, Game Director and Lead Writer to align all connected features with the single-player narrative and gameplay into a cohesive experience,” the post, which seeks for a Senior Online Designer, reads.

As of now, no additional information is forthcoming regarding exactly what kind of “cohesive narrative experience” the new game will see, but even vague hints are better than nothing.

After Visceral Studios was shut down last October, EA made this new open-world project sound as though will continue on from the original, even if major changes will be made along the way.

Hopefully this E3, EA will be willing to share a bit more on the project, but for now, keep checking in with OnlySP on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube.
