State of Decay 2 Getting ‘Choose Your Own Apocalypse’ Update in Two Weeks

The ‘Choose Your Own Apocalypse’ update is coming for State of Decay 2 players later this month.

Coming from today’s Inside Xbox stream, senior producer at Undead Dacey Willoughby announced that the update will bring a batch of new content to the game come March 26.

For starters, two new levels of difficulty will up the challenge. A slew of more difficult NPCs, zombies, and blood plague threats will be present in the two new zones.

The first of those zones, Dread Zone, is the next highest difficulty, but is not as “punishing” as the Nightmare Zone.

Players will see a prompt upon starting a new community that will let them decide whether or not they would like to give the new difficulties a shot. These difficulties can also be accessed for players who have already started communities as well.

The update will also make 16 new achievements available for grabs. More details about the specifics of the ‘Choose Your Own Apocalypse’ update are available in Undead Labs’s Q&A page.
