It has been a good while since we last got an update on the State of Decay remaster for Xbox One, State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition, but that’s changing very soon.

According to Undead Lab’s Facebook page, a release date for the game will be announced at PAX South in San Antonio, Texas this month. Undead Labs has been working on State of Decay for Xbox One intensively over the past few months, upping the game’s resolution to 1080p, working towards a stable framerate and adding a higher level of detail to the open world.

We haven’t seen footage of it yet, but CryEngine 3 was primarily made for the next-generation consoles, so while we may not see a huge leap in graphical fidelity, we’re hoping for something pretty noticeable. Having a stable framerate on consoles would also be great as well.

We’ll be sure to notify you as soon as we hear about the game’s release date, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all of the latest updates.
