STONE Developer Convict Games Teases Next IP

Convict Games, the Australia-based studio behind 2018’s STONE, has teased its next IP in a Twitter post.

The tweet, penned by narrative director Gregory Louden, began as a brief appreciation for the game’s fans and specific staff members before touching on STONE‘s Xbox One port. However, the most eye-catching detail in the tweet and a later reply was knowledge than a brand-new IP is ramping up production. The tweet and reply are embedded below:

While “our new IP us coming next” and “onto the next game” are broad statements, the fact that Convict Games is toiling away is exciting.

STONE surprised me back in September as I described the game as “a The Big Lebowski-esque snapshot of contemporary developed life.”

Digimon Survive’s Stylish Opening Movie Released

Published

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
