Superliminal, the mind-bending first-person puzzler from Pillow Castle Games, makes its way to PC next week.
Along with a launch date, Superliminal also received a launch trailer, showing much more polished gameplay since its debut at E3 2019, during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase.
Since the release of its trailer, many have compared Superliminal to Valve’s Portal. While Superliminal and Portal play very differently, both games offer a first-person puzzle-solving experience with heavy narration.
Pillow Castle Games, Superliminal‘s developer, describes the game as follows:
“Superliminal is a single-player first-person puzzle game that uses perception as a mechanic. You play as someone who wakes up in a surprisingly lucid dream. As you complete puzzles to get to the next exit, certain patterns and truths become more apparent. In this game, everything is exactly what it seems to be! Wait, no… that’s not right. Everything is the opposite of what you think it is? That’s not correct either. This is a game about breaking expectations and thinking outside the box. What you see is what you get. Literally.”
Superliminal will release for PC via the Epic Games Store and see a 15% pre-purchase discount at USD$16.99 until its launch on November 12.
