Take-Two Interactive has stated that it has sequels to some of its “biggest franchises” currently in development.
In its latest earnings report for fiscal second quarter 2020, Take-Two Interactive chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the company “has the strongest development pipeline in its history, including sequels from our biggest franchises as well as exciting new IP.”
Zelnick did not share which franchises would be receiving sequels but, as the parent company of 2K, Private Division, and Rockstar Games, it has a lot to choose from.
Zelnick stated that Borderlands 3 exceeded expectations, with five million units sold in the first five days, 50% more than its predecessor.
Zelnick also revealed that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold-in more than 115 million units, while Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold-in almost 26.5 million units worldwide.
Take-Two President Karl Slatoff noted that The Outer Worlds exceeded sales expectations and reiterated that it would be released for Nintendo Switch in early 2020.
