Do you like videogames? Of course you do, what a silly question. Do you like being part of betas? Or perhaps enjoy testing games before they come out? Well what if I told you, Naughty Dog might have a job for you in testing out The Last of Us early? Granted the game is going to be filled with bugs, no question, but if you’ve ever dreamed of working in the gaming industry, certainly this would be a step in the right direction.

Naughty Dog is currently seeking “Quality Assurance Testers” to work out all the remaining kinks, bugs and errors in the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive. The Last of Us was one of the most impressive looking games at E3 this year and is expected to be released sometime in 2013. Essentially your job is to discover any issues and report them to the development team.

So what are the requirements you ask? Well for starters high school education but of course having post-high school, previous testing experience (be it beta or otherwise) or even knowledge of Microsoft Office will certainly help your chances.

Before you get too excited however, you should know this will be a full time job with more then likely overtime required as well. Attention to detail is going to play a vital role in this job and certainly patience. I’m told the job while full time is only temporary but a gig is a gig. If you are interested in working in the gaming industry or want to become a game tester then this is right up your alley and with no release expected until 2013, you’d be able to get some decent experience under your belt.

Here’s what we know of the story thus far, the game takes place in a post apocalyptic world in which everyone has been wiped out by some sort of plague like virus. Those that remain fight for survival just to get by. You’ll play as Joel, a black market arms dealer and a 14-year-old orphan Ellie, who will have to work together in order to survive.

What do you think of the game thus far? Let us know below and stay tuned to OnlySP for more details on the game as we receive em!

    1. I second that xD

  3. It would be lovely to know how to apply for this. Its not listed in their careers section on their website.

    1. I looked up articles with links to the application site and it seems they were already taken down. Not sure if that means that somebody already got the job or their making revisions. We&#039ll update this story when we find out.

  4. This would be a great thing to follow up on, if I only knew how to do so. More details would be nice, too.

  7. Sorry for the lack of details at the time of original post guys. At the time there wasn&#039t "clear cut" instructions on how to apply. As Nick has said, the application portion appears to have been taken down, whether that&#039s due to revision or that simply thousands of people applied I have no idea. Soon as I hear something you&#039ll know.
