Japanese game director and writer Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, creator of Deadly Premonition, has teamed up with Dragon Ball FighterZ development studio Arc System Works to create a new title: The Missing.

Not much is known about The Missing, which is expected to launch at some point in 2018. Nothing of substance has been revealed about the game, but Suehiro did have some comments to make in his own YouTube video released to accompany the announcement.

Suehiro seems to hint that The Missing has something for anyone who has something missing from their life. That broad kind of comment does not give away anything about potential genres, and the video footage provided also does not give any clues, but given the release date is within the year, more information should be available soon.

Despite the absence of anything to build expectations upon at present, Suehiro is certain that this title will exceed them. Given that the project is set to be the first from Suehiro’s newest studio, White Owls, he seems keen on this mysterious new title, saying that “it’s sick” and “this title will blow your mind.”
