Looks like we’ll know very soon if our inside source was on the money with the details he provided to us earlier this year on the next installment of the Call of Duty franchise.

According to Mp1st, the next iteration in the Call of Duty franchise is just days away from being revealed. The game apparently has the code name of “Blacksmith” and will be revealed in May according their information. In previous years, each Call of Duty has been announced right around the time of the NBA playoffs, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising. The information seems to “leak” out around that same time as well.

Hopefully the source that provided us the possible information on “Blacksmith” wasn’t just pulling our leg, because that’d be pretty neat if we actually got some insider info that was correct. In case you missed it, Activision and Sledgehammer Games did reveal an in-game character render last week which was highly detailed. We can only hope the rest of the game will look that good as well.

Anyways, as per usual with Call of Duty games, we’ll only cover the campaign of the game. So be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest on the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise.
