The Return of the Soundtrack Spotlight – Ori and The Blind Forest

Published

 on

It’s been way too long since we’ve done one of these hasn’t it?

Well, it’s time for the Soundtrack Spotlight to return here on OnlySP and we’ll be bringing you a new piece of music to listen to every three days. To start the series back up again, we’ll be sharing a piece of music from the recently released, Ori and the Blind Forest.

If you haven’t played Ori yet and have an Xbox One or PC, then you need to stop what you’re doing and go play it. It’s easily going to be one of the most memorable experiences you have this year, and a big part of that is due to the game’s simply mesmerizing soundtrack.

Take a listen to one of the shorter, but more powerful themes the game has to offer and be sure to leave us your thoughts in the comments section.

Soundtrack Spotlight – Event[0]

Event[0] is an atmospheric, first-person puzzle game that kept me gripped from beginning to end with its amazing story, breathtaking visuals, and ridiculously great music. While I enjoyed my time with the game immensely, what’s really stuck with me, more than the story or the visuals, is the soundtrack.

The music, composed and written by Julie Robert & Camille Giraudeau, is reminiscent of the Electronica scene that grew to prominence during the late 80s and early 90s. While the game has many of these excellent electronic synth pieces, today I’d like to highlight the one piece in the game that stands apart from the rest, in both tone and style.

Trust me, you’ll be humming to the tune for days.

You can listen to the piece down below and make sure to drop down in the comments section to let us know what you think.
