Puzzle Game The Sojourn Will Be 15 Hours Long

Iceberg Interactive has revealed the total game length of its upcoming puzzle game The Sojourn.

During an interview with Twitch at E3, Damien Sarrazin, president of HomeRun PR (the PR company supporting The Sojourn), demonstrated some of the game’s puzzles and spoke about the inspiration.

Sarrazin noted that the game was inspired by elements such as philosophy, fantasy, and religion, which becomes notably evident when demonstrating the in-game universe of light and darkness.

The player will explore the four worlds by solving puzzles to traverse. They must step into the flame in order to see the darkness and cross bridges to move through the environment.

The player must use statues to transport around the world; the statues can be teleported to the player’s location, allowing them to step into the flame and teleport directly to the statue in order to continue. The statues are also used to open gates and solve puzzles.

The developers initially made the game more complicated for players, but had to tune the difficulty down later in development.

The Sojourn‘s main narrative will last around 15 hours. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.
